EMC Disk Library for mainframe resolves the challenges associated with the mainframe data center. It delivers industry-leading scalability, performance, and availability to tape operations while working seamlessly with the current host and applications. Disk Library for mainframe combines low-cost serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) drives, redundant array of independent disks (RAID) 6 protection, hot-standby disks, tape emulation, hardware compression, and deduplication for backups. The system comes with a virtual tape library that has primary and deduplication storage. The system also supports end-to-end disaster recovery testing.
